The family of Emmett Till were very upset when Lil Wayne referenced Till very tastelessly on the "Karate Chop (Remix)". The family continue to voice their disapproval of the lyric, as well as Wayne's lack of apology, and are now planning to go after his sponsors in an attempt to be heard.
In a move likely inspired by Rick Ross' recent drop from Reebok, The Till family are targeting Weezy's endorsements such as Mountain Dew, in hopes that they will be more responsive than the rapper himself.
The family released a video last week further expressing their opposition to Wayne's reference to the tragically murdered teen.
