Eminem's cypher at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards was not only one of the year's highlight moments from a rap culture perspective, but also one of the most incendiary political messages delivered by an emcee in recent memory. Going after the sitting President with no regard for any adverse reaction whatsoever, Slim Shady certainly provided the world with yet another conversation starter that involved Donald Trump. However, the Commander-in-Chief never responded to Em's disses from that memorable night, and the radio silence is actually kind of eating away at the rapper.

According to The New York Post, Eminem is peeved at the fact that Trump didn't attempt to return the shots that were fired on the night of the BET Awards. In fact, he implied that the lack of a response is making him even angrier at the current U.S. leader. ""I was and still am extremely angry," he said recently on Sirius XM's Shade 45. "I can’t stand that motherf---er." While the cypher was certainly a way for Eminem to express his outrage at the current state of American politics and perhaps American life overall, it was also an undeniable attempt to poke the bear. The fact that there still hasn't been a response from the President is not sitting well with the "Walk on Water" artist.

“I feel like he’s not paying attention to me," Em added. "I was kind of waiting for him to say something and for some reason, he didn’t say anything.” Trump's refusal to engage with Slim Shady's remarks is slightly out of character for him, seeing as he's already picked fights with numerous other public figures, including LaVar Ball and Rosie O'Donnell. How the rapper, who was once known as a very controversial public figure in his heyday, escaped this kind of back-and-forth is rather mystifying, but here we are. Who knows if this extra push will get Trump to respond but, for Eminem, it's worth a shot.
