We first introduced you London-based singer Ella Mai last year when she linked up with Ty Dolla $ign for the single “She Don’t,” which was her first release under DJ Mustard’s 10 Summers imprint. Since then however, Ella has been relatively quiet when it comes to new music, releasing a Time EP last February, before returning to the scene earlier this year with the single “Ready,” but thankfully that drought ends here today. In celebration of her birthday yesterday, Ella decided to come through and share a new song called “Naked,” which is reportedly produced by DJ Mustard.
"Excited to give my fans some new music for my birthday! In life there are a lot of factors that make you believe you should change yourself in order to be accepted but I just wanted to say that you don’t have to. Can’t wait to perform this record live on tour!” Ella shared with The Fader in the premiere.
It’s unclear at the moment if this record will see life on any upcoming project or just something for the fans, but we’ll definitely take it since it’s not everyday we get new music from the talented singer.
