East Shadow hails from East New York, a neighborhood in Brooklyn that has produced such rappers as Jeru the Damaja and Uncle Murda. He's released several projects over the course of the last three years and is currently gearing up fro the release of another one called East Mode on June 14th.
Earlier this month, he shared a video for "Fake Friends," a song thematically similar to Kanye's "Real Friends" but with much more dire consequences. The song serves as a useful introduction to East Shadow's rugged voice and his mission: "to become an advocate for the ghetto."
