If you thought Earl Sweatshirt's DORIS was low-key, you may not be ready for the sleepy nature of his new material. "Quest/Power", which follows "SilenceDArapgame" (a song that sounded like a hardcore crew track being played at a great distance), keeps in line with the increasingly wispy sounds we've been hearing from the rapper. Teaming with Budgie and Samiyam, Earl brings his characteristically wordy bars to a few samples, packing as many syllables as possible into each phrase while still keeping a laid back feel.
So far, we're not sure what Sweatshirt's next move is, but we're excited to see it happen.
