Over 25 years in the game & 27 projects to go along with that, Bay Area legend E-40 has been able to adapt to the times & continue to stay relevant all these years. "What motivates me is true talent, it's golden when talent acknowledge talent. I'm not a grumpy ass veteran, I'm a old ass youngsta with vintage gas and new school gas," he said. "Rap evolves and to still be current you have to evolve with it! Get in front or get left behind. I love working with different artist with different styles and different producers with different sounds, creativity is everything.”

Over the weekend, E-40 decided to give Dr. Dre's Beats 1 Radio show on Apple Music, “The Pharmacy,” the green light to premiere his new single “Straight Ot The Dirt” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Yo Gotti. Now today, the record was officially released on E-40’s soundcloud page & Youtube channel.

Going in over the sinister beat from J Peezy, E-40 & company rap about their hustle & come up in the game, coming “from straight out the dirt.” It’s unclear at the moment on where this record will end up, but seeing how it was premiered on Beats 1 Radio over the weekend it looks like it could be album material. Guess time will only tell though.

Take a listen to the West Coast slapper & let us know what you think. Who laid down the best verse?

Quotable Lyrics:

I was gettin' out the mud
I put the hood on flood
I was bumpin' Danny Glover in the Chevy
I put the hood on thug
I put your hood on wet-wet
I put your life on the set-set
I put your goons on bedrest
I haven't been lost a war yet
