If you were to get rich and famous, what would be the most satisfying purchase to make? It's likely that almost everyone on earth would have a similar response: "buy my Mom a house!" The Rock, otherwise known as Dwayne Johnson, has done just that.
He posted a video on Instagram that captures the moment his mom opens his card (which is a voucher for a "brand new home") and begins to laugh and cry. Johnson reminisces about his childhood too and how he wanted to get his mom a stable place in one location: "all our lives growing up we lived in little apartments all across the country. Lived like gypsies on the road from one state to another."
Johnson has been rich since his WWE days and so this isn't the first home he's bought his mom ("the first home my parents ever lived in was the one I bought for them in 1999"), but "the house this time is a special one and the timing is very meaningful.
I told her to treat this card like it’s 'Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket' because she gets to choose any home she wants - anywhere she wants."
