LA emcee Dumbfoundead has been keeping busy, appearing on songs for new production outfit 88 Rising, but today he released a song all to himself. The track is titled “Harambe,” but you won’t find any references to dicks in the lyrics. Instead, Dumb uses the now-deceased gorilla as a springboard for his observations about increasing social unrest in the US and the resulting paranoia.
It’s a quick track, almost a freestyle, but it hits hard and delivers its message with expectedly intricate wordplay from the former battle rapper. Getter provides the hard-hitting production. The song's conclusion? We’re all Harambe, dicks out or not.
The world is a zoo, you've seen the news
ain't nothing new, you've seen them shoot at the youth
I see you pigs at the barbecue
god bless the red, white and blue
