On Thursday night, Drake made a surprise appearance during Majid Jordan’s set in Toronto and told fans that he was in town finishing up his next album, and that fans should expect a new single from him Friday night. “The reason I’m here tonight is because I’m back in the city finishing my album,” Drake told the audience. “I’ve got a new single dropping tomorrow night, too, just in case you got some free time.”
Well thankfully Drizzy stayed true to his word and came through late Friday night to share the new Murda Beatz-produced single “Nice For What,” which was accompanied by a new music video as well. Following inline with the song’s concept, this video is about empowering the ladies, and finds famous female actresses & celebrities like Tiffany Haddish, Yara Shahidi, Letitia Wright, Zoe Saldana, and more all making cameos.
“Nice for What” marks Drake’s first solo release since the Scary Hours EP featuring “Diplomatic Immunity” and the record-breaking “God’s Plan.”
