Drake's single "God's Plan" is arguably one of his biggest hits to date. That says a lot considering his musical output and the amount of times his singles have taken over the globe. The rapper kicked off 2018 on an incredible note. After dropping both "God's Plan" and "Diplomatic Immunity" as a two song EP, the rapper was breaking new records on the charts. Much of that is due to the success of "God's Plan," though. Five weeks after its release, it's breaking another record in the streaming world.
Drake's chart topping single reached another major feat since its release. According to chart data, Drake's "God's Plan" became the first song to reach at least 75 million streams in the U.S. in five separate weeks. It makes sense considering the song still claims the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for the fourth week in a row. Last week, it was reported that the song was eligible to go three times platinum within four weeks.
The hype around the song increased significantly when he dropped the music video for it. In the weeks prior, Drake was handing out some charitable donations to those that need it in Miami. Of course, those deeds would be documented in the video for "God's Plan."
At this point, it looks like Drake has some major plans this year on a music front. He's been delivering some solid features and has also shared a few photos of studio sessions. Hopefully, this means he's in album mode right now.
