The man who helped get the very successful October's Very Own clothing brand is never without a conversation-worthy outfit - whether he's hanging with Travis Scott and the man who played Steve Urkel on Family Matters or simply chilling in his new Toronto-area digs, the fashion sense with rap's Champagne Papi is ultra-high. With all this in mind, part of the latest outfit he was spotted wearing on his Instagram page is eye-catching for sure, but not in the way that you'd think. In fact, his socks display an image that will take hip-hop fans on a trip down memory lane, to a time in the distant past where he and Rihanna may have been a thing.
The 30-year-old rapper is pictured wearing a pair of socks that feature an image of Rihanna's likeness on both sides of the leg. According to E! Online, the item is from RiRi's new collection that's being called "Fenty & Stance," with the illustration of the 29-year-old R&B singer sporting the same red, green, yellow and black stripes Tommy Hilfiger dress she sports in the duo's music video collaboration for their song "Work." In fact, Drake's caption for the picture on Instagram simply read "Trabajo," which is the Spanish word for "work." Talk about wearing your heart on your, um, feet.
Though they supposedly parted on good terms, Drake and Rihanna were the couple that fans wanted so badly, but in the end, the romance they shared didn't come together. Though Drake's dad Dennis insisted that the two were "just friends" last year, it's hard not to think that maybe there was something more between them. From the Canadian music icon performing their collabs on her birthday to the R&B empress getting a Drake-dedicated tattoo, this whole sock business falls right in line with their relationship pattern as we know it. For the time being, however, it doesn't seem like there will be any rekindling of emotions (if there are any left) between Drizzy and RiRi - the former is enjoying his life as a ladies man and the latter is said to be head over heels for her new beau.
