The success of "Scorpion" makes Drizzy happy.
When Drake announced that he was dropping an album this Summer, everyone knew that it would do numbers. Drizzy has had a stranglehold on the charts for years, and his dominance seems to grow with each release. As expected, when Scorpion dropped it shattered streaming records. The double-disc album format surely attributed to those numbers. The more content per album equates to more streams per project, leading to higher numbers. In celebration of the massive success of Scorpion, Drake threw an equally enormous party for his staff.
According to PageSix, Drizzy had a party for his OVO Sound staff. The gathering was a “massive 75-person party” at the Rooftop at Miami club E11even on Monday night. The 6 god arranged for vehicles to drive the guest to the club, which had no shortage of Hookahs for the crew. PageSix claims that Drake, “pulled up at 1:15 a.m. with four SUVs and one white Bentley,” and his guests included Tory Lanez, Zoey Dollaz, Roy Woods, and Adrien Broner.
Scorpion could be considered Drake's fifth studio album, if you don't count the mixtapes and "playlists" in his catalog. The project is a crowd pleaser that touches on aspects of Drake's personal life such as his child and family. For a full review of Scorpion, head here.
