Drake gets some new bling to commemorate his friend Fif after his brutal murder.
Last September, OVO affiliate Anthony "Fif" Soares' life was brutally taken away from him in what appeared to be a well-planned execution-style murder. Fif was rushed by two men wearing hoods and masks as he stood outside of a Toronto-area apartment building, being riddled with shots from semi-automatic weapons. Fif was close with Drake, who shared a touching message to his late friend following the tragic events, in which the rapper promises to keep his friend's memory alive forever. Today, Drizzy is showing that he is a man of his word, showing off a new, intricately designed chain in memory of Soares.
The new neck-piece is wonderfully elaborate, iced out in VVS diamonds on the front with the number '50' in memory of Soares' nickname. The back of the chain has a heartfelt engraving, writing, "Rest In Piece Anthony Soares 'GSOAT'" with a 6 God logo underneath. A closely knit family, Drake is endearingly loyal to his OVO crew as he makes good on his promise, immortalizing Fif in golden jewels. Drake also has a tattoo on his arm in memory of his close friend.
Both Drizzy and the jeweler, @seattlegold on Instagram, showed off the new piece on their Instagram stories. Anthony Soares' murder investigation is still ongoing as initial attempts to catch those responsible for his killing were inconclusive.
