Well here’s a great story with a happy ending. Remember the 11-year old girl Sofia Sanchez that Drake visited at the hospital last month in Chicago who needed a heart transplant? After recovering from her successful surgery, Sofia has now been discharged from the hospital. She is now recovering for the next 4-6 weeks at the Ronald McDonald House, before she officially goes home. However at least she’s out of the hospital.
The 11-year-old girl's mother told ABC News that she her daughter is "feeling great and enjoying the fresh air.”
Sofia first caught the attention of Drake after her touching "In My Feelings" video challenge that went viral last month. Drizzy ended up skipping a concert in order to see Sofia. He then later gave her a nice shout out at one of his concerts last month after hearing she had a successful surgery on getting her new heart. "God the other day blessed her with a new heart. So, Sofia, if they get this clip out to you, I love you and I'm happy for you,” Drake said at his show in NYC.
