It's hardly shocking when Drake beats a record on the Billboard charts, especially with his latest album, Scorpion. The rapper's done incredible numbers on the project already and at this point, it's spent five consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200. Although Travis Scott will likely dethrone Drake for the top spot with his new project, Astroworld, Drake has managed to reach a new milestone on the Billboard Rhythmic Song charts.
As everyone continues to do the "In My Feelings" challenge, it comes as no surprise that Drake takes the number one spot on the Billboard Rhythmic Songs airplay chart. As the song went from 2-1 this week with a 13% jump in plays in the week, Drake marks his 100th frame at the top of the chart. Not only is Drake the first artist since 1992 to bank that many weeks with the top spot, he also edges out Rihanna's record who's tallied 99 weeks in total.
The new record comes roughly a week after Drake released the new visuals for "In My Feelings." The video came out a week a go and has already reached 53M views so far.
Aside from reaching a new milestone on the charts, the rapper also made history in the streaming world this week. It was revealed that Drake made history as the first artist to ever surpass 50 billion streams across all platforms.
