Drake recently broke the record for most weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 after "In My Feelings" spent a 10th consecutive week at the top of the chart. In total, Drake's dominated the top of the chart for the majority of the year after he tallied 29 weeks at #1 with his singles, "God's Plan," "Nice For What" and "In My Feelings." While "In My Feelings" lost its position at the top, it looks like Drake is ready to reclaim the #1 spot with a new single off of Scorpion.
Drake reveals that the next single off of Scorpion will be his collaboration with Michael Jackson, "Don't Matter To Me." Drake's next single will be promoted across pop, adult pop and rhythmic stations next week. There have been rumors since the release of Scorpion that "Don't Matter To Me" would be the next single, but his label only confirmed this news today. Considering his track record this year on the chart, it wouldn't be surprising the collaboration between the 6 God and the King Of Pop hits number one. The song previously debuted at number nine following the release of Scorpion.
While Drake's collaboration with Michael Jackson will undoubtedly take over airwaves starting next week, one person who wasn't happy about the collaboration was Michael Jackson's nephew, Austin Brown. While he wasn't necessarily upset at Drake and made it clear that he doesn't think the Canadian rapper is taking advantage of Michael Jackson's legacy, he did say that he wasn't happy based on the fact that it wasn't a finished song, therefore it shouldn't have been used.
