Yesterday (Apr. 18), Drake made a rare Twitter appearance to announce that Beats By Dre would be hosting a pop-up shop in NYC in support of Views from the 6. The shop was scheduled to be open for a short time at 4pm, only a couple of hours after Drake revealed the event. With the announcement, Drake shared a picture that showed the word "VIEWS" in bold letters (adorned with little eyeballs) with "Compliments of the Company" written underneath. And indeed, everyone who was able to make his or her way into the event was given a "VIEWS" T-shirt courtesy of OVO.
Today, it has been made clear that New Yorkers won't be the only ones who will be treated to free Drizzy gear. Today, about an hour later than he did yesterday, Drake hopped back on Twitter to share another pop-up shop announcement -- this time scheduled for 5pm in Miami. Again, the event will be powered by Beats by Dre.
Views for the 6 is set for release on April 29. As Drake has already set up shops in two major U.S. metropolises, will he continue to do so in cities across North America each day leading up to the release? That's a ton of free shit for OVO to be giving out, though it's certainly in honor of a worthy occasion.
