Even when there's no Internet-breaking occasion -- such as the live premiere of Drake's More Life -- OVO's Saturday night radio show on Beats 1 always brings with it something special. During his opening mix last night -- as he warmed up for special guest Jacques Greene, OVO co-founder Oliver El-Khatib played a delightful mashup involving Toronto's two biggest artists.
The vocals from The Weeknd's "Secrets," off November's Starboy, are laid seamlessly atop the serene island house beat of More Life's "Passionfruit." It's possible that Oliver found the track while doing some deep forum-digging, as The Fader suggests that the mashup may have first been posted on KTT.
This is a reminder that OVO and XO always go together.
