The actors who will portray Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Eazy-E in the upcoming N.W.A biopic, Straight Outta Compton, were revealed earlier this week, and now Dr. Dre has given us the official release date for the film.
Today, Dre tweeted out a photo of himself, Ice Cube, and director F. Gary Gray, with the three leading men in the film. While the initial report pegged Marcus Callendar as the actor playing Dre, the new image depicts Iron Man 3's Corey Hawkins in character.
Gray has previously directed Set If Off, The Italian Job, and the Ice Cube-starring comedy, Friday. Cube and Dre will serve as executive producers for the biopic. According to the doctor, the film will hit theaters August 14, 2015.
