DOOM's weekly music series for Adult Swim, The Music Notebook Rhymes, will no longer continue. After releasing a total of 7 out of 15 tracks which were shared once a week since August 7th, DOOM and Adult Swim have ended their relationship. All songs that had been put out through Adult Swim's site have now been removed and no further tracks will be shared.

"Adult Swim is ending our relationship with DOOM, and thus, the remaining Missing Notebook Rhymes will unfortunately have to remain…missing," a rep for AS told Mass Appeal. "We are glad to have had the chance to provide the previous free tracks to our fans."

Just a few weeks back, Adult Swim’s senior vice president and creative director Jason DeMarco spoke about the project and his history with the rapper in a XXL interview. "I’ve always been lucky in that whole Villain stuff,” he said. "[DOOM] is just a good dude. He doesn’t pull any bullshit with me, and I don’t pull any with him." He was excited to get new DOOM music out to fans. "We’re a television network, we’re not a label, so we’re not gonna be putting out vinyl and selling records, but I do think, I hope, anyway, this project reminds everybody how great DOOM is and that somebody needs to gather this music and put it out for his fans."

Wednesday morning, Demarco expressed disappointment over the series falling through on Twitter.

Among the previously unreleased tracks that were shared as part of the series were collaborations with Jay Electronica, Kool Keith, Alchemist, and the late Sean Price. DOOM famously worked with Adult Swim on his 2005 album with Danger Mouse, The Mouse and the Mask, which featured samples and voice appearances from characters on Adult Swim shows including Aqua Team Hunger Force and Space Ghost Coast To Coast.

DOOM will be releasing a new collaborative project with East Buffalo rapper Westside Gunn titled WESTSIDEDOOM. The duo released the first single from the project Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Adult Swim will continue its 2017 singles program, which gave way to releases from Ishmael Butler & Oneotrix Point Never, as well as Abra Wednesday.
