Last night saw President Trump finally release the "winners" of his first annual Fake News Awards, which were announced on the GOP's website. The list presented eleven instances where the media falsely, or inaccurately, wrote about Trump and his various ties to Russia, empty amphitheatres, overfeeding fish, and a bevy of other claims.
CNN was head and shoulders above all other news outlets, having nabbed four awards for their journalistic inquiries. However, most interestingly, the last honour was bestowed upon any publication or telecast that reported about Trump's alleged collusion with Russia, which he still vehemently denies to this day.
When the awards were announced, the GOP's website crashed because of high volume. However, the results are now widely available, and Twitter has been ablaze with commentary, criticism, and outrage over the results of this newly minted awards show.
