Donald Trump is wondering why TBS hasn’t fired Samantha Bee after the “Full Frontal” host made a vulgar comment directed at his daughter Ivanka Trump.
“Why aren’t they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show,” the United States’ president asked in a new tweet. “A total double standard but that’s O.K., we are Winning, and will be doing so for a long time to come!”
It was during a segment on immigration that Bee called Ivanka a “feckless c-nt” in criticizing her for posting tone deaf image of her with her children a week after federal authorities admitted to losing track of 1,500 migrant children and after Attorney General Jeff Session deemed that all those attempting to enter the United States without documentation would be separated from their children.
Bee went on to issue an apology for her words in a tweet, writing, “I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night. It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it.”
TBS soon released their own apology for a failure to edit out the expletive, taking part of the blame.
“Samantha Bee has taken the right action in apologizing for the vile and inappropriate language she used about Ivanka Trump last night,” the network wrote in a tweet. “Those words should not have been aired. It was our mistake too, and we regret it.”
