The billionaire beef between two very different kinds–one so-called and the other multi–has been ratcheted up today. Donald Trump brought out his Twitter-fingers to attack Jeff Bezos over his new girlfriend.
Bezos, who is the richest person ever, recently began a divorce with his novelist wife MacKenzie Bezos and has been seeing somebody new, the news anchor Lauren Sanchez. Apparently, there was some overlap between the two relationships and The National Enquirer somehow obtained text messages between the two that included nudes and such gushy lines as "my heart is growing just so it can have room for you." Apparently his heart doesn't also have room for the mistreated employees of his company.
Although definitely not concerned about the working conditions at Amazon facilities, Donald Trump was more than ready to take pot shots at Bezos from behind his phone. He wrote a mock condolence note via Twitter, saying that he's "so sorry to hear the news about Jeff Bozo being taken down by a competitor whose reporting, I understand, is far more accurate than the reporting in his lobbyist newspaper, the Amazon Washington Post." Trump continued to knock Bezos' involvement in the paper with a wish "hopefully the paper will soon be placed in better & more responsible hands!"
Bezos hasn't responded...yet.
