Donald Trump has banned transgender people from entering the military.
Earlier today, Donald Trump caused a firestorm with a series of tweets, in which the POTUS stated transgender soldiers will no longer be allowed to serve in the military. As expected, the announcement proved quite controversial, and many were left wondering what might happen to some of the already active transgender military members. In fact, the White House made the decision without a clear plan of implementation, according to CNN.
On the motivation behind the decision, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders stated that "transgender service "erodes military readiness and unit cohesion. She claimed it was strictly a "military decision."
