This year's already brought two bits of great news for fans of Donald Glover (or Childish Gambino)'s acting talents. First, it was announced that he'd be voicing Spider-Man in an upcoming animated series, then he nabbed a role in the sequel to "Magic Mike" (entitled "Magic Mike XXL"), but this is the biggest news yet. Glover will act in Ridley Scott ("Alien," "Gladiator")'s next film, entitled "The Martian."
The Wrap reports that Glover joins a cast that already includes Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara, Michael Pena and Jeff Daniels, all of whom are pretty huge names. Damon will star "as an astronaut who becomes stranded on Mars and must figure out how to survive long enough to return home to Earth."
