The last few months, singer Doja Cat reemerged under a spotlight bigger than ever before, and now, after a steady schedule of singles and music video releases, the RCA signee has dropped off her debut studio album Amala.
On the effort, you’ll find the previously heard tracks “Roll With Us” and “Candy.” This time around, those familiar with Doja’s catalog that includes past hits like “So High” will notice a more experimental shift as she uncovers a sound heavy with modern influences.
“All I've ever dreamt of evoking was confidence and self-realization with my music,” she told PAPER of the new release. “I want you to move to it wether you're in your room with a hair brush microphone or at the club with your friends or in the car on your way to work, I want to evoke movement and rich, positive, emotions.”
