Tekashi 6ix9ine's one of the most divisive figures in hip-hop. While many dislike him over his controversial behavior and his legal troubles, other people find his trolling highly entertaining. Although 6ix9ine's skills as a rapper are questionable, there are a lot of people who think he's a genius for the way he's marketed himself, including DJ Paul.
DJ Paul has nothing but praise for Tekashi 6ix9ine and hopes they could work together someday. TMZ recently caught up with the Three 6 Mafia member who revealed that he thinks Tekashi 6ix9ine is one of the smartest people in the music industry.
"I think [6ix9ine] is the smartest dude in the music industry," he said. "The way he marketed himself, no record label could've came up with that. He just basically said, 'I'ma start shit with everybody around this mothafucka. Fuck you.'[...] It's a real genius move. And he got good music to go with it."
When asked if he'd work with him, DJ Paul simply said, "Fuck yeah." Hopefully, we see a collaboration between the two in the future.
Paul also chimed in on the rising feud between Tekashi 6ix9ine's NY crew and the L.A. label he's signed to, which police believe could spark an east-west coast "war." DJ Paul said that he doesn't doubt things won't get real, but he does think that it won't be as big of a deal as it was in the 90s.
