DJ Mustard continues his flirtations with the world of pop music on "Anywhere," a single in which he is co-credited with Nick Jonas, who provides the lead vocal on the record. The track is filled with warped vocal samples pitched to sound like synths and big keyboard lines. It's closer to the maximalist pop of Diplo and Skrillex than Mustard's signature RnBass bounce, but he wears it well. Anderson .Paak is credited as a writer on the song, though it is unclear if he's been worked in as a sample or was actually involved in the songwriting process.

While Mustard has been broadening his sonic palette, he's still working with some of his earliest collaborators on a regular basis. Within the last six months he's put down some west coast keys for YG, RJ, and Ty Dolla $ign, among others. He's expected to have a presence on YG's forthcoming third studio album Stay Dangerous.

Jonas has also been known to crossover from pop too R&B. Last year, he worked with Mustard's good friend Ty on "Bacon." Listen to it here.

Quotable Lyrics:
What's better than the time being?
Dark skies never scare me
Fallin', I'll be right behind ya
It's still me, like the very first time
