Despite being released in late 2016, Childish Gambino's "Redbone" will go down as one of 2017's biggest tracks. That said, it's only logical that it would be the target of myriad remixes, and DJ Mustard is the latest producer to try his hand at reworking Glover's masterpiece. Mounting up to the bar set by the original is a nigh-insurmountable task, so does he hold up?

Fans of Mustard's bouncy, bass heavy sound will no doubt enjoy this one. The original's melodic accompaniment is largely retained, albeit in synth form, but the overall smooth vibe of the original is lost in the noise. Still, it's an interesting take on an amazing track, and while it doesn't quite do the original justice, it's still worth a listen.
