In a year full of milestones for one of hip-hop's most celebrated producers, it's time to once again celebrate the work of DJ Khaled.

The Miami impresario has dominated 2017 with his album Grateful and now, the RIAA is officially recognizing this greatness, having officially certified the record as platinum, as per its sales and adjusted streaming numbers. The announcement was officially made today, August 23rd, exactly two months after the album's release. It also marks Khaled's first platinum-selling album.

Much of the heavy lifting in terms of giving the album exposure goes to the three monstrous singles it has produced thus far: "Shining," where he teamed with Jay-Z and Beyoncé, "I'm the One," which features Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne and his most recent chart-topper, "Wild Thoughts," whose video featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller is the subject of a new contest Khaled is holding. Even better: the winner gets $10,000. Both "Wild Thoughts" and "I'm The One" have already been certified platinum as well.

Another part of the record's charm is the deep-rooted involvement of Khaled's son, Asahd. The tyke is listed as an executive producer and is currently enjoying one of the best lives of any toddler, anywhere. With over 1 million followers on Instagram and potentially the cutest mug in show business, his presence in the album's cover art, promotional material and in his father's many social media videos promoting the release goes a long way.

If you ask Khaled, the certification on this specific day isn't something that was ever planned but, in a weird way, it kind of does.

"MY SON WAS BORN ON oct #23 my album #GRATEFUL came out June #23 Now my ALBUM IS PLATINUM ON AUGUST #23 and And my son turns 10 months today!! And the the album has #23 tracks and I got my own @jumpman23 safe to say #23 is special # .. FAN LUV WE DID IT !!! #DJKHALED #GRATEFUL ALBUM OFFICIALLY PLATINUM," wrote the hitmaker.

With a new music video on the way from DJ Khaled, Travis Scott and Calvin Harris, there doesn't seem to be an end in sight for DJ Khaled's incredible momentum. Congrats to him and Asahd!
