The trio filmed the visual just three days before Nipsey was murdered.

Producer and entertainer DJ Khaled has dropped off his 11th studio album Father of Asahd, a celebrity-filled record that features hit after hit. The leading single from the album is Khaled's collaboration with John Legend and the late Nipsey Hussle, an uplifting track that motivates listen to rise above their circumstances.

The Eif Rivera-directed visual drips with all things Nipsey as the rapper is dressed in head-to-toe blue outfit as he's featured on the streets of Los Angeles. The rapper gets personal as he shares family stories, including how his parents met, a tale that he compares to his own relationship with Lauren London when he says "Los Angeles love, kinda like Hussle and Boog."

The world lost an incredible artist and community leader on March 31, but thankfully his legacy will continue on. While there may be other unreleased Nipsey records on the horizon, "Higher" is the perfect lead as it's the first single to feature the late rapper since his death. It's difficult to watch this and not be moved, especially as Legend belts out the chorus: "But don't you know that the devil is a liar?/They'd rather see me down, put my soul in the fire/But we keep goin' higher, higher." Let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics

Pops turned 60, he proud what we done
In one generation, he came from Africa young
He said he met my moms at the Century Club
Los Angeles love kinda of like Hussle and Boog
Mani turned ten, Kross turned two
Startin' to see this life sh*t from a bird's view
We the ones that made millions off the curb, fool
And this rap sh*t ten, never made nerd moves
