It’s been a couple years since we last received a project from NYC veteran DJ Kay Slay. In fact, it was back in 2015 when the Drama King released the mixtape Shadow Of The Sun, but it looks like the wait is going to be well worth it this time around. Last month, Kay Slay revealed an impressive, star-studded tracklist to his forthcoming album The Big Brother, which will be dropping September 29th & feature the likes of Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Mac Miller, Kevin Gates, Tech N9ne, The Game, Dave East, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Raekwon, Scarface, Jadakiss, Jay Rock, French Montana, Ice-T, Nipsey Hussle, Beanie Sigel, Freeway, E-40 and more.

"I felt that I owed a solid collaboration to the fans who been looking forward to this type of album for years. The Big Brother is here!” Kay Slay said about its track list.

Now a week removed from the release of Kay Slay’s video for “Wild One” featuring Rick Ross, 2 Chainz and Meet Sims, arguably the most anticipated record from the entire tape has surfaced online Tuesday morning called “Cold Summer” featuring Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, Kevin Gates & South Carolina’s Rell.

Over the soulful production, K. Dot leads things off, effortlessly spittin' some socially conscious bars about the streets & taking responsibility of his life, while Mac raps about being a genius & touches on some of his personal struggles in the process.

Take a listen & let us know what you think. Pre-order The Big Brother album now on iTunes if you wish.

Quotable Lyrics:

Evacuate the building when I come through
Evulate your feelings when I come through
Tire marks & gun smoke stories
OG’s reminisce and show glory
HE say nigga Im hoping you make a way out
Before I make this Mac-11 do it for me
I know responsibility weighing down my shoulders
Summertime Im always the coldest
Do you dirty like the projects, 25 then you are the oldest
This is the feeling you get when you ride
Till the wheels fall off and there’s no more drive
I see the field when I look in your eyes
Should execute or ex out and expire

- K. Dot
