Dinero Based may be from Miami, but his sound feels indebted to Chicago. Rather than channelling the darker parts of the drill sound, he's instead gone with the hooky vocal style, pairing it with much brighter instrumentals. In the end, it's somewhere between drill and Chi's much poppier bop sound, and perhaps, a little bit of Soulja Boy's more melodic records. Most importantly, he has a good songwriting sense, giving him the potential to pen a hit one day. With the sounds of "Leakin," he's getting pretty close.
