A while back, Joey Badass said in an interview that New York radio needed to pay more attention to younger hometown rappers and hire younger DJs. A few days ago, Desiigner issued similar but a more direct criticism on Twitter. Funk Flex later caught the deleted tweet and shared it on his IG feed.
"Fuck NY RADIO," Desiigner's deleted post read. The emcee and Flex get along, so the veteran DJ didn't add a caption criticizing it. He didn't support it either seeing as he is one of the foremost DJs and voices in hip hop in New York and across the nation.
The Brooklyn rapper has yet to comment on his deleted tweet. No matter his intentions, he got the New York hip hop media's attention.
