Diplo embraces real hip-hop vibes by paying homage to his favorite producers on "Suicidal."
Diplo's California EP is the line where the electronic and hip-hop sounds meet. With guests including Lil Xan, Trippie Redd, GoldLink, Lil Yachty and others, the project is full of breezy tracks. The Desiigner cut "Suicidal" has just received some fresh new visuals with the two embracing city life throughout the night. Diplo and Desiigner walk through neon-lit streets as the G.O.O.D. Music artist sings his impassioned verses. The video combines lo-fi elements as if it were filmed on a cell phone, with incredibly intricate camerawork at times.
The project is a departure from Diplo's usual sound, taking a risk and pulling it off on California. In a YouTube comment on the music video, he wrote that the track pays homage to some of his favorite producers in Flume and Mura Masa while exploring Desiigner's legitimate hip-hop vibe.
