It's rather unusual, to say the least: a weekend drop at little to no cost. It's taken Desiigner thiiiis long to find some common ground with Dave East, the self-professed "only rookie" in the game "with veteran ways." Besides the obvious remedial qualities that East's possesses as a featured artist, Desiigner actually holds his own - and why shouldn't he?
As videos of a less-spasticDesiigner freestyling in a more traditional "lyrical style" during his relative drought, the Brooklyn-native would eventually drop his L.O.D. EP in May of last year, before shutting back down. As a result, rumors persisted of Desiigner's waning health, as did theories of a loss of appetite careerwise. But none of it was true, Desiigner was simply in the process of leveling up.
For the same reasons people advise against chewing with a wide open mouth, it is simply in no one's best interest to pop off prematurely. Desiigner knows this all too well - "RIICH" might just be his finest recording since his chart-topping debut "Panda."
I got the drop on them ni***s that plotted
Whenever we catch them, that's where we gon' leave 'em
Stack all the fifty's and hunnid's, the ten's and the twenty's, I get them
Jump out the whip, take a pic with my gun
I got so much to pitch, I can't leave till it's done.
