23 year-old Derin Falana sounds jaded beyond his ears on soulful new cut "These Days." Over a staccato groove, Falana reflects on the current state of affairs, throwing in some personal anecdotes and perspectives. The Ontario artist gets ample room to showcase both his singing and rapping abilities, switching seamlessly between the two over a futuristic beat. Despite hailing from the Great White North, the subtle vocoder work, wubbing bass, and g-funk style synth lines gives this track a bit of a West-Coast flavor.
