The much anticipated heavyweight rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury won't be happening, at least not as soon as everyone had hoped.

On Tuesday, WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman announced that the champ, Wilder, was ready to get back in the ring with Fury but that Fury has decided to "take on another fight with expectations to do rematch at a later date."

Naturally, Wilder quickly called out Fury on social media, which then resulted in a back-and-forth between the two heavyweight boxers.

Wilder writes: "You sorry muthafucka. We knew you only said this bec you knew you wasn’t fighting me next. you requested a warm-up fight first I don’t blame you tho, I probably would too if I saw my brains splashed all over the canvas. "

Fury responded, "Get your self a bit more well known in America first kid & then I’ll give you another chance.! I already beat you & the world knows it & so do you must be hard for you that a British fighter has taken over the USA watch me whippppp ."

Wilder countered, "What an idiot, known is the fact your only highlight was you getting up off your back and since your known to snort shit, this is what happens when your body is on drugs your body Resembles the effect of it. I’m the CHAMP your nothing in USA if I don’t bless you fool."

According to ESPN's Dan Rafael, Fury is expected to fight again in either May or June, with a Wilder rematch tentatively slated for the fall.
