If you've never heard Deniro Farrar, Blue Sky Black Death, Gucci Mane, Nacho Picasso and Mack Shine's "Keys," then the new remix of it included on Farrar's new project Cliff Of Death 2 is probably the sure highlight for you. For the rest of us though, here's "Wind Blow," the best of the new bunch.
Opening with a snippet of dialog from "The Wire," the song begins with a swirl of ambience that should sound familiar to BSBD fans before dropping us into an eerie, piano-led funeral march. Farrar spits cold tales of snitching, hustling and being "harassed by cops for having gold on our teeth." Few modern rappers are as gifted as he is at painting harrowing, non-glorified pictures of life in the struggle.
Fistfights and drama, ghetto baby mamas
Not knowing no purpose, sex without no condoms
Mask for the robbers, their kids need Christmas
Revenge for these murders gon' be another victim
