Fast rap, or chopping, is not for everyone. In fact, it's become somewhat of a niche style, with detractors tending to write it off as "lyrical miracle" self-indulgence. Yet Tech N9ne is a different beast, one who has developed such a heightened flow over his decade-plus career that even his quickest bars come off as absolutely effortless. Today, the legendary K.C. rapper has linked up with Dax for "Faster," which kicks off with a menacing and cartoonish instrumental. It doesn't take long for Dax to live up to his track's title, quickening his pace to the point where he's damn near salivating bars at a breakneck pace.

Where there's aggression in his cadence, Tech plays the role of the cooler, calmer, and collected counterpart. A testament to his experience, Tech lets fly salvo after salvo of multi-syllabic rhymes. "To the people I'm a freak show but I really will damage an ego," he spits. "When the beat go, n***a finito, finna meet your G.O.D. though." While the production might not be everyone's cup of tea, those who appreciate Tech's established movement -- and Dax's growing one -- will likely find much to enjoy on "Faster."
