Dave East take us to his world after hopping on Lil Pump's "Gucci Gang" for the latest iteration of his "East Mix" series. A stark contrast from the song's original form, "You The Same" is a more cerebral rampage that further teases the pending arrival of the Harlem rapper's Paranoia 2 debut album.
“The album is gonna be like a real documentary of my life,” he's previously said of the project. “I’ve given bits and pieces and stories here and there, but I’ma really bring you from when my mother pushed me out. I’ma get a little deeper and I want to bring a sound that’s gonna live forever. That’s why I really went back to them producers, they created my favorite music ever.”
Paranoia 2's production is said to be handled collectively by the likes of No I.D, Salaam Remi, Just Blaze, and Alchemist. Judging by Dave's ability to torch any beat he chooses, though, such a range of talent only further boosts our hopes for East's official debut.
