We've been waiting for the release of Dave East's official debut album for a minute, but the Harlem native has been strategically making sure things are in place before he drops it. Since penning his deal with Def Jam, he's been steadily dishing out new music including four projects under the label. Clearly, he's been setting things up for the release of his debut studio album. In a clip from an upcoming interview with AllHipHop.com, Dave East shared some insight on his new album including the title and its release date. Although reluctant, the rapper revealed that his debut album will be titled, Survival and is expected to drop in the first quarter of 2019, in either February or March.

Given the rapper's hot streak throughout 2018, we're anxious to see what he has up his sleeves for the project. The rapper recently released a new single titled, "Wit Me" on Friday which could be a single off of it, although East hasn't confirmed it himself.

Over the past twelve months, Dave East has dropped off four projects in total. In late November 2017, he released the DJ Holiday-hosted Karma mixtape and followed it up with Paranoia 2 in January. Since then, he dropped off Karma 2 and recently released his collaborative album with Styles PBeloved.
