"It's Holiday Season!" Indeed. DJ Holiday and Dave East come through just as Thanksgiving holiday is winding down, not a moment too soon, with their new mixtape Karma. The mixtape had a late-notice announcement-- aka yesterday-- with the reveal of the tracklist. It's a welcome release, as a more 'classic' mixtape, in that Dave East is actually letting this one go for free download (at least for right now). It also comes just a few months removed from his well received Paranoia: True Story EP, we can't be mad at that. Dave East's release today joins the likes of Jadakiss & Fabolous' Friday On Elm Street, D.R.A.M.'s own holiday-themed release, #1HappyHoliday, Kodak Black's Project Baby 2 re-release, among others, you can find them all here.
As for Karma, Dave East gives fans a more-than generous 16-track project, with features from Chris Brown, Kap G, Lil Durk, D Jones and more. We're highlighting the unanimous banger, "Bentley Truck," featuring the aforementioned first two artists. It's a club-esque record, with Dave East giving us a hardened flow, and Chris Brown bringing the melodic hook flavour, hyping it up further with a series of gun-bang ad-libs.
