On "Blueprint," he brings the same dense wordplay and traditional New York rap style he's been celebrated for in the past, bringing Nipsey and Bino into his world rather than the other way around on a modern boom-bap beat that brings out the best in all involved. Nipsey has proved to be a versatile rapper when it comes to production that's out of his West Coast comfort zone, and here he comes through with an emotionally charged verse that plays well with the sample-based beat. Meanwhile, Bino delivers a souldful hook that brings the East and West Coast together.
East just released his Karma mixtape with DJ Holiday on Friday, which follows the release of Paranoia, his major label debut.
