Dave Chappelle Will Drop Two Netflix Specials On New Year's Eve

A lot of great things happened in 2017 including the official return of Dave Chappelle. The comedian spent the last few years doing rounds on a comedic tip but he announced late last year that he signed a $60 million contract with Netflix for three stand-up comedy specials. Earlier in the year, he dropped two Netflix specials, The Age Of Spin and Deep In The Heart Of Texas. His contract originally stated that he'd be dropping three specials this year with one set to drop on New Year's Eve. However, it looks like we'll be getting two on the same day.

Netflix announced that Dave Chappelle's dropping another comedy special on New Years Eve on top of the originally played special, Equanimity. The upcoming special, The Bird Revelation, was reportedly filmed at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles on November 20th of this year. The comedian's new trailer for Equanimity gives a sneak peak at what's to come on the upcoming special. He originally joked in the Bird Revelation special that he's filming his last Netflix special, which was shot in September, that night before having to "make America wait again."

It's been a big year for Dave Chappelle with his Netflix specials. The two that dropped earlier this year were reported as two of the most viewed comedy specials in the history of Netflix. Hopefully, we'll be getting more from Chappelle in the New Year. The trailer for Equaminity shows some of Chappelle's much needed social commentary on Trump's America almost a year after his election.
