Seattle rapper Dave B, who's also armed with some serious singing chops, has tapped the continually inventive Soulection leader Sango for a new track entitled "Parallel." This is the second recent collaboration from the Seattle natives, following April's "Got It From." "Parallel" is similarly excellent.

The song starts with a sample of a quote from a Somali woman. In the SoundCloud comments, Sango confirmed that one listener was correct in guessing she said something like, "A man that lies and hides things from me, I don't want him." The same woman speaks a couple more times over the course of Dave B's confessional, during which he reminisces about a woman from his past who still clouds his mind, knowing there's love between them but conceding that they'll never be "parallel." Sango's instrumental includes more dreamy samples and careful, spine-tingling percussion work. These two have been embarking on some seriously ambitious collabs, and hopefully the best is yet to come.

Quotable Lyrics

It could be awesome, could've been awesome
Come baby doll, I just call you my darling
We up then we falling, yeah I always falling
Give you good love when you say so
Don't make no sense, not on the payroll
