A dad in Jacksonville, Florida recently sold off his son's 1998 Ford Explorer, which he bought for the kid, because his son, "thinks it's cool to drive around with his friends smokin dope and acting all thug."
The dad, Allen Gieger, took to Craigslist (full ad here) not only to list the truck for $1500, but also to shame his son for taking everything for granted and of course, smoking too much damn weed.
"I have my sons truck up for sale that I bought for him as his first car, he thinks it's cool to drive around with his friends smokin dope and acting all thug​ ... I just put new tires on it that he never paid me for because dope was more important and driver seat doesn't come all the way up, I guess cause cops kept riding by!"
Furthermore, he offered to take $250 off the asking price if the buyer was local, just so that his son would have to see someone else driving around in his whip.
Gieger told CNN that he has received an outpouring of support for his parenting since his original Craigslist post has gone viral. He has said that if his son gets a job and saves $1,000, he'll match that amount and help him get a new car.
