Spitta's latest fits perfectly within the world he's been envisioning since he released the seminal Pilot Talk in 2010, as the impossibly slick rapper cruises through picturesque landscapes in his vintage rides. "The Collective" is a particularly effective gaze through Curren$y's rose-colored glasses, pairing veering strings with piano stabs and stuttering bass, while Spitta is at his braggiest, maneuvering the beat with an unmatched elegance, and allowing the constantly building instrumental to ride out in the final moments.
