When you count yourself as a Curren$y fan, you enjoy the full benefits of one of your favorites consistently delivering on new expansions to their catalog. Such is the case with the arrival of the New Orleans emcee’s The Spring Collection EP. True to form, the 12-track offering boasts a cohesively mellow vibe that brings to mind one recreational activity often attached to Spitta’s repertoire.
We get four total features on three separate tracks from Roddy, Street Wiz, Corner Boy P, and a pleasant surprise in Joey Bada$$. This EP, of course, is only a foretaste of the highly-anticipated Back at Burnie’s studio album that Curren$y has slated for release on March 16. It will be his first full-length studio recording since the release of 2015’s Canal Street Confidential.
