Curren$y is suing Damon Dash for allegedly releasing several Curren$y albums without his permission.

Curren$y has filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z's former partner, TMZ reports. Spitta claims he and Dash tried to release music together in 2010 but the deal never materialized. Curren$y claims Dash released two of his albums in 2010 but the two still couldn't come to an agreement, and so Curren$y signed with Warner Bros. in January 2011. However, according to the lawsuit Dash continued to release Curren$y's music, even though Warner had the exclusive rights to the rapper's music. Spitta is demanding that Dash stop profiting off him, and is asking for $1.5 million in damages.

Dash is firing back though, saying that he had permission to release Curren$y's music, and furthermore that Curren$y stabbed him in the back by singing with Warner Bros and reneging on their deal.

A judge has yet to rule.
